'Most Cited' Recognition-Inst. for Science Information

The Institute for Science Information (ISI) is the publisher of the science citation index, science watch, current contents, and other databases of research information. Both databases mentioned below, derived from ISI data, cover the period 1981-1997.

• About a dozen ANL staff are included in the web database of the world's 1120 most cited physicists (including numbers 34, Jorgensen and 35, Hinks) located at http://pcb4122.univ-lemans.fr/1120physiciens.html.
  
• A number of ANL staff are on a similar list of ISI's 100 most cited chemists, ranked by total citations, located at http://pcb4122.univ-lemans.fr/1000chimistes.html.
