Education:

• Graduated from Department of Science and Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 1968

Employment:

• 1970-1998 Shanghai Institute of Metallurgy, Chinese Academy of Science.
• 1989- Interfacial Material Group, MSD, ANL.

Expertise:

• Hands-on experience on thin film synthesis techniques such as CVD, MOCVD, PECVD, FECVD
• Hands-on experience on synthesis of nano-crystal films and nano-particles of metal oxides by MOCVD and MOCVC.
• Proficiency in optimization of process variables to obtain desirable phase, crystallinity, morphology, orientation, compositions, and grain size for a variety of metal oxide films and nano-particles
• Experience in development of innovative processing strategies and growth techniques to improve the properties and quality of deposited films
• Hands-on experience in design and development of reactors, delivery lines and inject scheme of MOCVD and MOCVC systems.
• 25 years expertise in synthesis, fabrication, and characterization of various thin films of metal oxides, superconductors and semiconductors from epitaxial layer to polycrystalline layer, from textured structure to amorphous structure, from single layer to hetero-structures
• Skilled with XRD, SEM, EDS, FTIT, and optical wave guiding characterization and vacuum system technique, familiar with P-E, I-V, C-V measurements

Hobbies:

• Watch NBA, NFL games and play table-tennis sometimes.
